YouTube Videos Disturbed My Studies: Man Approaches Court
The individual claimed in the petition that YouTube advertisements prevented him from using a YouTube channel to prepare for classes. He claimed that these advertisements made it difficult for him to concentrate on the study material. Later, he demanded Rs 75 lakh in damages from the streaming site for detracting him. The supreme court became enraged with him and saw his demand as a publicity stunt.
Then he received a Rs. 1 lakh fine for his actions. The man then begged for a reduction in the fine because he was jobless. As punishment for wasting the court's time, the court reduced the fine to Rs 25,000. This is not the first time a case has been lodged in such a way. Another user commented he saw hot videos in pop-up and they came as a distraction during family time.
