President draupadi murmu distributed the National sports Awards 2022. table tennis star Achanta sharath Kamal has been given the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. arjuna Award was given to 25 players for their outstanding performance in the world of sports. 


Sharath Kamal got Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna

Commonwealth Games 2022 gold medalist sharath Kamal expressed happiness on receiving the Khel Ratna and said that it was given considering his 4-year performance. The Khel Ratna award that I am getting is because of my form in the last 4 years. I have won 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal in Commonwealth Games 2022.

He said that my victory is no longer mine only. When I win, many people also win with me. When I lose, I disappoint them. Getting this award from the government is a big victory for table tennis. He also said that he is already preparing for Asian Games 2023 and paris olympics 2024.

Nikhat Zareen received arjuna Award

After winning the arjuna Award for shooting, Elaveni valarivan said, I feel very good after winning this award. Difficulties are always there in the world of sports and I have learned a lot from them. Boxer Nikhat Zareen was also honored with the arjuna Award. She said that after this award, now I am feeling more responsible. My dream is to win gold medal in olympics for india in future.
