The 12th Defense Expo is going to start in Gandhinagar, gujarat today. This is the biggest-ever Defense Expo in India. prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it today. On his two-day visit, PM Modi will also gift projects worth Rs 15,670 crore to Gujarat. Before the inauguration, Defense minister Rajnath Singh said in a press conference that by 2025, india has set a target of exporting 35 thousand crores in the field of defence.
How many countries will participate?A total of 75 countries, including ministers from 33 countries, are participating in this expo. A total of 1340 companies are participating in the Defense Expo this year. Apart from this, pavilions of 10 states will also be visible in the Defense Expo. This time the Defense Expo is spread over a total area of one lakh square meters. It is being told as the biggest expo ever. This year 47 new weapons will also be launched at the expo. Apart from this, there will be a deal for 349 weapons and a transfer of technology for 18 weapons.These projects will also be inauguratedPM Modi will also inaugurate a new airbase in gujarat, Deesa (Banaskanta), at the Defense Expo on october 19. The country's largest drone show will take place in the sky of Gandhinagar on the evening of 19 october, in which 1640 drones will participate. This drone show has been organized by IIT Delhi's start-up Botlabs. PM Modi will also unveil the indigenous trainer aircraft HTT-40 designed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. The aircraft features state-of-the-art contemporary systems and is designed with pilot-friendly features.
