Traders of Tajganj have time till october 17 only, ADA did not give any facility for Diwali
Only a few days are left before the deadline given by the ADA to comply with the supreme court order. As the days are passing, the heartbeat of the traders is getting faster. Union minister of State for Law and Justice Prof. Along with SP Singh Baghel and regional mla Dr. GS Dharmesh, the traders of Tajganj held a meeting with Commissioner amit Gupta, DM Navneet chahal, and ADA vice-president Chachit Gaur on Wednesday.
The affected traders have formed a Sangharsh Samiti in the name of the Tajganj Development Foundation. Committee President Nitin Singh, Ramakant Saraswat, amit Shivhare, Sanjay Arora, Devendra Baghel, Rajesh Agarwal, etc. Union minister of State for Law and Justice Prof. Along with SP Singh Baghel and regional bjp mla Dr. GS Dharmesh, reached the Commissioner's camp office to find a middle ground and seek an extension till Deepawali. The meeting lasted for about an hour. Which was in vain.
Commissioner amit Gupta and DM Navneet chahal expressed their inability to cite the supreme court order. Foundation President Nitin Singh said that two demands were made. Shops should not be closed till one Deepawali. The second demand was that the ADA should present its case to the supreme Court.
He said that the supreme court has given an ex parte decision due to non-compliance by ADA, for which we will file a review petition. ADA vice-president Chachit Gaur says that the traders have been given deferment till october 17. After the period, they will have to close the shops with the help of police and administration to get the orders of the supreme court to be complied with.
Let us tell you that in the year 2000, the supreme court fixed the restricted area of the Taj Mahal. Then 71 shopkeepers were displaced from the western gate. In the last 21 years, more than 400 commercial establishments have started illegally within a radius of 500 meters.
