Scared of defeat in Kuppam, Naidu looking for alternative?

G GOWTHAM
N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the telugu desam party and a former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, has so far remained unbeatable in the chittoor district assembly district of Kuppam. Since 1989, he has served this seat for the last seven terms in a row. Naidu has been winning the kuppam seat with ease, despite changes in his majority.
Even in the state-wide ysr congress party president Y S jagan Mohan reddy wave of the 2019 elections, Naidu defeated retired IAS officer K Chandramouli in kuppam, albeit by a smaller margin. However, it seems as though Naidu's status is no longer favourable. The tdp supremo is reportedly concerned about his chances of winning in kuppam in the upcoming polls because jagan is concentrating on fostering this constituency by injecting money for its development.
The YSRC leaders and cadre are ecstatic following Jagan's recent visit to kuppam and the success of his public speech, while the tdp cadre has fallen into a state of demoralisation. Additionally, K R J Bharat, a member of the YSRC legislative council and the son of the late Chandramouli, is actively pursuing his campaigns in the area with the help of senior minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Naidu is now having second thoughts about this. The tdp leader is reportedly now concerned that, if he loses his seat in kuppam, he will not only lose control of the party but also his political career.
