Jagan to re-introduce three capitals bill?
The controversial legislation on the formation of three capitals for a decentralised administration is about to be reintroduced, if ysr congress party president and andhra pradesh chief minister Y S jagan Mohan reddy has his way. Sources claim that the state assembly and council's monsoon session, which is anticipated to last a week, will begin on september 19 under the direction of the jagan administration. The state cabinet meeting scheduled for september 7 is expected to finalise the agenda and schedule.
Actually, the assembly session was supposed to take place last month, but it was postponed for unknown reasons, including the three capitals bill's inability to be finalised. According to reports, the chief minister was waiting for former indian Chief Justice N. V. Ramana, who jagan believed to be the obstacle to the establishment of three capitals, to finish his term.
