Senator warns of 'riots' if Trump is prosecuted
If former President donald trump is indicted, "there will be riots in the streets," said Republican senator Lindsey Graham. The South Carolina Republican said on Fox news on Monday, "If they tried to prosecute President trump, there actually will be riots in the street," adding, "I worry about the country." Even though there is more and more evidence against trump, the senior member claimed that most Republicans still believe leftist prosecutors are out to harm the former President.

Graham is currently appealing a subpoena to go before a grand jury in georgia to testify about Trump's attempts to intimidate state authorities into overturning his loss to President Joe Biden in the state in the 2020 election. Even after investigators discovered boxes of top-secret documents hidden at Trump's Mar-a-Lago property, Graham has persisted in defending the president. trump is being investigated by the FBI for inappropriately removing the papers when he left office and failing to return them despite being served with a subpoena.
