On Tuesday, a father in Telangana's mahabubnagar district killed his newlywed daughter and wife in a tragic incident. The guy was enraged because his daughter refused to visit her in-laws, and his wife backed her up. According to authorities, the man drank poison after killing them and was fighting for his life in a hospital.
Sarswati, a 22-year-old Jainallipur village resident, married a mahabubnagar town resident on May 8. She returned to her parents after ten days. She refused to see her in-laws, claiming that she was forced to marry the man against her will. Krishnaiah, her father, had been urging her to return to her in-laws' house. On Tuesday, they got into another spat over the subject. Saraswati's mother, Kalamma, 43, spoke out in favour of her daughter.
Krishnaiah struck her daughter and wife with a stick during the heated fight and then consumed a toxic chemical. He also called his son to inform him. All three were taken to a local hospital by the son, who ran to the house from the agriculture field. Saraswati and her mother were transferred to hyderabad as their condition deteriorated. The two, however, died along the route. Krishnaiah was being treated at the mahabubnagar district hospital and was said to be in critical condition.
