Usha Rakothaman, the then-Chief
minister in charge of removing A. Govindasamy's painting from the
college principal's apartment, belonged to a certain ethnic group. During his period, individuals of his neighbourhood began to form collegiate friendships. It was only then that the college's
education and order began to deteriorate. Members of that organisation erected a portrait of Annal Ambedkar. The
tamil Nadu
government did not keep the film. Instead, the
government erected an official portrait of A. Govindasamy.
