Rs 40 Lakhs seized from Deputy Collector's Car - Anti Corruption Board action

For attempting to transfer a car from Trichy to chennai, anti-bribery police confiscated Rs 40 lakh in unaccounted money today. In this case, anti-corruption police are looking into the Deputy collector of the Adithiravida Welfare Department. Saravanakumar is the Adithravidar Welfare Department's Deputy collector in the Trichy District. There are vacancies in the Adithravita health Department for a variety of positions, including Chef. 

The Anti-Corruption police obtained information that bribes were being collected in the Trichy area and transported from Trichy to chennai to fill these posts. In this regard, the Villupuram district Anti-Corruption Unit police obtained information that Adithiravida Deputy collector Saravanakumar was leaving for chennai today afternoon with money gathered in a car from Trichy.

Following this, the police led by Anti-Corruption ADSP Devanathan were monitoring whether the car was coming into Villupuram district. Similarly, when the car arrived at Madappattu area on the data-border of Kallakurichi district, the police led by ADSP Devanathan turned it over and searched it. Then the police were shocked to find a bundle of 500 rupee notes in the car. police along with Deputy collector Saravanakumar and driver Mani were questioned in this regard. However, they were brought to the Villupuram district Magistrate's court for questioning as they spoke contrary to precedent.
