Emeritus Rahul Bajaj's rise and demise!!
Industrialist rahul Bajaj was admitted to the hospital last month after he developed pneumonia and also had heart problems. Industrialist rahul Bajaj and former chairman of Bajaj Group passed away at the age of 83 in pune today.
A statement issued by the Bajaj Group said that it is with great sadness to inform about the demise of Shri rahul Bajaj, husband of Late Roopa Bajaj and father of Rajiv/Deepa, Sanjeev/Shefali, and Sunaina/Manish. He passed away on the afternoon of february 12, 2022, in the presence of his close family members.
He was admitted to the hospital last month after he developed pneumonia and also had heart problems. He was awarded the Padma bhushan in 2001 and served as an mp in the Rajya Sabha.
Mr rahul Bajaj has contributed immensely to the success of the company and the group over the past five decades. Keeping in view his tremendous experience, and from time to time, in the interest of the company and in an advisory role, his experience, knowledge, and wisdom.
To continue to benefit and as a mentor, the Board of Directors in its meeting held today and as recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee has appointed Shri rahul Bajaj as the Honorary Chairman of the Company for five years with effect from May 1st, 2021.
