New rules in T20: Powerplay gets more interesting..!
The ICC is committed to making international t20 cricket more vibrant. Has been taking various measures. Some rules will give great pleasure to the fans, some rules will burden the fans. However, the ICC has announced rules will double the joy for fans. But bowlers are just as sinful. The so-called slow over-rate, which does not throw overs on time, is now a major problem in cricket. The bowling team was accused of taking too much time to stop the filters, slowing down the game. To correct this, the ICC has made a superb decision.
The rule is to throw 20 overs within an hour and a half. But let's assume that the bowling team throws only 18 overs in an hour and a half, and the new rule is that one of the 5 fielders standing in the boundary line for the remaining overs will be reduced and added within 30 yards of the circle.
If you want to escape from this penalty, you have to throw the first ball of the 20th over within the allotted time. Otherwise, a player on the boundary line will be reduced. This rule of the ICC will no longer have a major impact on t20 cricket, so bowlers and captains will no longer have to bowl overs to avoid penalties.
This rule has already been successfully implemented in The Hundreds series held in the UK. Similarly, players will be given 2 minutes and 30 seconds between 10 overs in each innings to drink water. The respective cricket boards can decide before the start of each series whether or not to use this leisure time. All these rules will come into effect on the 16th from the t20 match against the west indies and Ireland.
