COVISHIELD Vaccine Gap of 84 Days to be Reduced ?

SIBY JEYYA
The Union government is right now considering reducing the interval between two doses of the Covshield vaccine and right now there is currently a 12-week interval between two dose Covshield vaccines. In this context, it has been reported that the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) of the central government is considering narrowing the gap to a lesser margin and there is a debate around that topic.

Russia's Sputnik-V vaccines are currently in use in India, along with the serum company's COVISHIELD and Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN vaccines and only these three are being used right now and they have also cleared the approval stages. The Covshield vaccine was first given at intervals of 28 to 42 days time and later, it was reported as 42 to 56 days and finally, now they have increased it to 84 days gap minimum and this really created chaos.

Even though it raised lots of questions and speculations, and most of them revealed they are trying to manage the vaccine shortage, the government and health Department revealed the better, the gap, the higher the antibodies generated on the human body, and right now that gap is followed, but now the gap is getting planned to be reduced.
