Sardar Ka Grandson Review - A Good Plot falters due to Failed Execution

'Sardar Ka Grandson movie finally got released on the Netflix OTT platform. Did the movie really live upto its hype? Well, let's see in this review. The movie is about a man trying to back the house which his grandmother left in Lahore during the partition. Technically speaking he needs to do 'Structural relocation' from Lahore to Chandigarh.

The problems he data-faces as a grandson when he tries to bring back the ancestral home from the story. The plot seems to be good with family bonding and so on. Just like any Netflix movie, this plot is unique and we have never heard it before in any bollywood movie. The plot revolves around three generations in a family and the casting makes it even better. But, rushed writing left a lot of things unexplained and the execution goes haywire.

The movie which is targeted as a 'Comedy' genre fails to evoke laughter hardly at any instant. It is more of a 'Drama' genre than being a 'Comedy' genre. On the positive side, Neena Gupta's performance stands tall and she makes a huge impression with her acting skills. But still, the way her character was written fails to remain in our hearts.

Arjun Kapoor, Aditi Rao, rakul Preet are just fillers. "Main Teri Ho" song is instantly catchy and the rest of the songs are not so worthy. If the writing was not farcical this movie would have been really a milestone for arjun Kapoor. However, we recommend this as a good time pass in this lockdown period especially.
