Lata Mangeshkar, 92 years old when she passed away, suffered from various organ problems. The well-known singer was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital on january 8th with COVID-19 and pneumonia. Lata Mangeshkar's lifeless bones were cremated for the uninitiated in a public funeral with full state honours, complete with the recitation of Vedic hymns and elaborate rituals conducted by Hindu priests. Lata's nephew Adinath Mangeshkar received the National Flag with reverence, folded it ceremoniously, and then politely handed it to the other bereaved family members there.

Some of her most well-known songs include Aye Mere Vatan Ke Logon, Babul Pyare, and Lag Ja Gale Se Phir, among others. Asha Bhosle, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, usha Mangeshkar, and meena Mangeshkar are Mangeshkar's four younger siblings who are still alive.
