Delhi CM to meet Telangana CM
Recently, the supreme court issued a ruling granting the delhi government the authority to enact laws and hire or fire employees. On May 11, a five-judge Constitution bench of the supreme court ruled unanimously that Delhi's government has both legislative and executive authority over the nation's capital's administrative services. Along with other AAP leaders, kejriwal would implore telangana chief minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president kcr to lend his party's opposition to the legislation. Additionally, he will ask the BRS to reject the ordinance replacement bill that the Modi administration plans to introduce in Parliament.
The AAP leaders have been meeting with opposition party leaders in different states, and their meeting with kcr will be the latest in that sequence. In order to secure the backing of the congress in Parliament, kejriwal has also requested time to meet with congress President mallikarjun Kharge and party leader rahul Gandhi. Sharad Pawar, the head of the Nationalist congress party, was contacted by kejriwal and punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on May 25 in mumbai to solicit his support. The AAP leaders also met separately with uddhav thackeray, the head of the shiv sena UBT. kejriwal met mamata banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, earlier in Kolkata. She reassured him that trinamool congress will oppose the law when the narendra modi administration introduces it in Parliament.
