On december 28, chief minister Y S jagan Mohan reddy is most likely to travel to the capital to meet with prime minister Narendra Modi. Although the chief minister's office has not officially confirmed the itinerary, sources claim that the chief minister is looking to meet with the Prime Minister. The chief minister is currently in his home district taking part in official events as well as the christmas Eve family prayer services.
According to sources, the chief minister is expected to ask the prime minister to lay the cornerstone for the kadapa steel plant in the second or third week of january 2023, as the state government has planned. Even though the kadapa steel mill was a part of the 2014 ap Bifurcation Act, the state government had adopted it as a renowned initiative. The steel mill had to be funded by the central government, just as it had committed to support the ramayapatnam seaport and the polavaram Project.
The kadapa steel mill, which would cost Rs 8,800 crore to build, was recently given to the Jindal Group by the state government. According to sources, the chief minister is also likely to resubmit his request for funding for the steel plant and the seaport in Rayamapatnam. With barely 15 months till the andhra pradesh Assembly elections, indications indicate that both leaders would likely engage in some political discourse.
