Padma honours Google's Sundar Pichai..!
The third highest civilian award in india is the Padma bhushan award. The first two awards are the Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan awards. The exceptional fields like art, public affairs, science and engineering, social work, etc are the different fields where Padma awards are given.
The famous indian -American top executives Mr. Pichai and Mr. Nadella have been awarded in the field of trade and industry. Google's Sundar Pichai and microsoft CEO Nadella are honored with Padma bhushan award among the 17 people. India's first CDC General Bipin Rawat has also been awarded the Padma Vibhushan award who died in the helicopter crash in tamilnadu along with his other personnel.
The other people who received the Padma honors are Vaccine Making serum Institute Poonawalla and also bharath Biotech krishna and Suchitra Ella. The covishield and covaxin vaccines made by them gave the boost to fight against corona infection. padma shri award which is the fourth civilian award was given to 107 people in various fields. singer Sonu Nigam and gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra were few among them.
The awardee's names were released a day before Republic Day as the tradition follows. Joining this, Former WB chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee now refused to accept Padma bhushan that was given to him.
