Due to intense rain and poor visibility, at least five flights were unable to land on time and were forced to circle in mid-air before receiving clearance from air traffic control.

The unexpected weather change led to waterlogging in key areas and triggered heavy traffic congestion on several important roads in the city.

Flights Affected Due to Poor Visibility

According to airport sources, continuous rainfall and low visibility conditions created difficulties for incoming flights attempting to land at chennai International Airport.
