Shilajit is real or fake, you can find out with this simple test!
Shilajit is one of the most powerful Ayurvedic herbs. For centuries it has been used as traditional herbal medicines. It is a natural Ayurvedic herb, which is found only in the Himalayas, tibet and other mountainous areas. It is considered very beneficial for health, especially for increasing energy, stamina and male strength i.e. masculinity. But due to increasing demand, fake Shilajit is also being sold in the market. In such a situation, the question arises that how to identify real and fake Shilajit. Here are some tests by which real Shilajit can be detected.
How to identify real Shilajit?
Water dissolving test
When you put real Shilajit in water, it will dissolve completely and the color of the water will become light brown or dark brown. It will not leave any kind of dirt or particles in the water. On the other hand, if the Shilajit is fake, then instead of dissolving in water, it may settle down or small pieces may remain in it. Its color may also be darker or black.

Burning test in fire
Real Shilajit will not burn completely when burnt in fire. It will just become slightly soft and smoke may come out of it. Whereas fake Shilajit starts burning quickly and ash may come out of it. It may smell like plastic, which shows that there is chemical or adulteration in it.
Molding test by hand
Real Shilajit becomes soft with the heat of the hand and spreads easily. It may become a little hard in cold weather, but will start melting as soon as it gets hot. Whereas fake Shilajit can remain hard even at normal temperature and will not melt easily. It may feel like plastic.
Taste and fragrance test
Real Shilajit has a pungent and earthy natural fragrance. Its taste can be bitter and a little pungent but fake Shilajit can be sweeter or have a strange taste because it may be adulterated. It will have no smell or may smell like a chemical.
