The NDR team of delhi Crime Branch achieved a major success by arresting three inter-state and wanted criminals. All three criminals were involved in a job placement scam in Sakchi police station area of Jharkhand. The accused cheated innocent people by luring them with jobs abroad and extorted crores of rupees. According to ACP Crime Branch, on 17 december 2024, several victims had lodged a complaint at Sakchi police station in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. They alleged that a job placement agency named Hayat Consultancy had promised to get them jobs abroad and provide visa services. On this pretext, the accused extorted a huge amount of Rs 1.5 to 2 crore from the victims. After this, the accused closed the office of the agency and absconded after keeping the passports of the victims with them. In this case, jharkhand police had started investigation by registering FIR number 251/2024.

The accused were nabbed with the help of informers

According to ACP Crime Branch, the NDR Crime Branch team was engaged in arresting the wanted criminals. jharkhand police informed the Crime Branch that the accused in this case may be hiding in the Delhi-NCR area. After this, the NDR team traced the identity and whereabouts of the accused with the help of technical analysis and informers.

According to the ACP, after which a special team of SI Samrat and Shubhendu, ASI Vinod, and HC Deepak, Satpal and Sudhir was formed under the leadership of Inspector vivek Malik and ACP Umesh Barthwal. The team raided the Uttam nagar area of delhi and arrested three accused.

The delhi Crime Branch has identified the accused as Fayaz Khan (Deoria, Uttar Pradesh), Mustaq Siddiqui (Gopalganj, Bihar) and vishwanath pratap singh alias Pankaj Singh (Ballia, Uttar Pradesh). According to ACP Crime Branch, after the arrest, the accused have admitted their involvement in the job placement scam in Sakchi police station area. According to the Crime Branch, two cases of fraud are already registered against the accused Fayaz Khan and vishwanath pratap singh alias Pankaj. The police have recovered 6 passports of the victims and 6 mobile phones used in the crime from the accused. At present, the police is engaged in further interrogation of the accused.
