The construction of the ``Floating Restaurant'' concept built by the tamil Nadu Tourism Department for Rs 5 crore has been completed and is ready for inauguration at Muttugadu Boathouse in chennai ECR. It is going to be a major hotspot for the people of Chennai. More than 30 boats such as powerboats, float boats, motor boats, and speedboats are operated in the boat house which is operated as a water sports center operated by tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation. During weekends and summer holidays, many tourists visit here for entertainment. The "floating restaurant" was built under a PPP consortium in a joint venture between the tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) and Kerala's Kochi-based Grandier Marine International. The official video about this ship is now released and it is trending among the people of Chennai.
 A floating restaurant called Seanz Cruise is an attempt to bring Kerala's most popular boat house to tamil Nadu. As this is a new initiative in tamil Nadu, it is expected to be well-received by the people. The floating restaurant, which was expected to open in the first week of June, is not yet operational. Named "Seanz Cruise" the floating restaurant has two decks measuring 125 feet long and 25 feet wide. The entire ship is equipped with centralized AC.
