Alphonsa mangoes available in the Devgad and Ratnagiri areas of the Konkan region are sold for Rs.800 to Rs.1300 per dozen. We have heard that there is a simple installment plan for buying expensive appliances like a house, car, etc. But now the installment plan for buying mangoes has also been announced. This concession is given only to alphonsa mangoes grown in the state of Maharashtra.
Mouth-watering alphonsa mangoes are available in Pune, Maharashtra. There is a mango dealer is selling mangoes under the EMI scheme. If ACs and fridges can be bought on installment plans, why not buy mangoes, says owner of Gurukripa Traders, Gaurav Sanas. Alphonsa (or 'Habus') mangoes from Devkat and Ratnagiri in the Konkan region of the state are considered one of the best mangoes. Currently, these mangoes are sold in the retail market for Rs.800 to Rs.1300 per dozen.
Fruits can be bought in installments just like buying mobile phones. The customer can pay the EMI in three, six, or 12 monthly installments using their credit card. But this installment plan is only available for a minimum purchase of mangoes of Rs 5,000. Sanas said four consumers have availed of the scheme so far.
