Husband died of cancer; Two years later, his wife will give birth to his baby
Lauren McGregor is a single mom. A few days ago, her husband died of a brain tumor. Lauren wanted her husband to be able to see her baby before he died. Lauren, 33, said in a podcast, "In her laughing-playing life, a brain tumor came too early. Both of them had been dreaming of raising their family for many days. But her dream of getting pregnant in the presence of her husband remained unfulfilled. "By the end of 2019, Lauren had become serious about pregnancy. But by then, Chris's illness had worsened. The two decided to freeze Chris's sperm before chemotherapy. Meanwhile, the Corona epidemic has wreaked havoc around the world. It also had a detrimental effect on their medical care.
Finally, in 2020, nine months after Christ's death, Lauren conceived sperm in her womb with in vitro fertilization (IVF). Lauren had to do it alone with Nilaja. But in many respects, she "thinks chris is with her."
The two reunited in 2012 after the death of Chris' mother.
Chris also had a son from a previous relationship. Still, they both wanted to have a baby one day. However, when chris was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2013, he carried out the plan with mutual consent. The urge to have children has intensified again in 2017 when chris started chemotherapy and had the option to freeze sperm.
Chemotherapy can impair male fertility. But after the treatment, Chris' sperm became four times stronger. She was happy to get IVF bank in a few months. McGregor said, "We never thought we would need this. But I'm glad we had the bank. That's why I got pregnant today." The couple had already discussed the possibility of raising a child without Chris. The two even thought of the baby's name together. McGregor has decided to give the baby the same name.
How did a woman get pregnant? McGregor said the clinic had to wait nine months after her husband's death to start IVF. I got pregnant after the first cycle. McGregor waited 12 weeks to inform Chris' son about it. Tears welled up in Chris's son's eyes as he learned of the pregnancy. He thanked McGregor for accepting it as a gift from his father.
