People on social media are angry and criticizing the company over the design of the wrapper of Nestle India's chocolate KitKat. The wrappers of KitKat have pictures of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra. people have not liked this marketing technique of the company and they are furious and people have accused Nestle of hurting religious sentiments through social media. However, later the company has apologized for this issue and has told that it has asked for this product back long ago.


Regarding the wrapper of KitKat, a user wrote, "Please remove the pictures of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Mata Subhadra from your KitKat chocolate cover. When people finish the chocolate they will throw the cover on the road, drain, dustbin, etc. Please remove the pictures."

Another user wrote about this wrapper, "It is an honor to see our odisha culture on Kitkat but please think once, when someone eats a chocolate bar and throw it in the gutter and many people walk on it, will the Jagannath family be happy with it?"

The company apologized: At the same time, after people's outrage on social media, the company apologized on this issue and wrote that they did not mean to hurt religious beliefs or sentiments. The product was launched by Nestle india last year and was withdrawn soon after.


The company informed the campaign, “Namaste! KitKat Travel Break Pack was meant to celebrate beautiful local destinations. Last year we wanted to celebrate the culture of odisha with designs on packs representing ‘Pattachitra’.” It is worth noting that the company has given an apology to the people and assured them to avoid such mistakes.
