There is no need to take paracetamol after Covaxin!!

Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of the anti-Covid vaccine 'Covaxin', said that it is not necessary to use paracetamol or painkiller pill after getting its vaccine. The company issued a statement saying, 'We have received information that children are being asked to take three tablets of 500 mg of Paracetamol after giving a dose of Covaxin at some immunization centers.'

Regarding this, the company clarified that it is not recommended from our side to take any paracetamol or pain relief pills after vaccination. It is being asked to take paracetamol along with some other covid vaccine doses, but taking any such medicine is not recommended after getting the Covaxin vaccine.

The vaccine maker said that during clinical trials conducted on more than 30 thousand people, about 10-20 percent of people reported side effects but their side effects were also mild and got cured without taking medicine in a day or two.

Significantly, last month, the government of india had approved the emergency use of Covaxin for children above 12 years of age with certain conditions. Vaccination has been started for adolescents of 15-18 years in the country from january 3, under which they are being vaccinated only against Covid.
