Horrifying Hospital Bill for a COVID patient
The Second wave of COVID has completely pushed the Nation to a stand-still mode and the entire Nation is facing a complete lockdown. None of the states have escaped from the grim situation. The number of positive cases and the death toll has increased several folds and the destruction caused by the second wave is higher than the first wave. Several hospitals are providing treatment under government schemes.
At the same time, some of the private hospitals are using this as a way to make money. A Private Hospital in hyderabad has charged a patient a whopping sum of Rs.22,00,000/- (22 Lakhs) as a preliminary bill alone. He has paid 7 Lakhs later while he was discharged. This has shocked everyone and the bill has gone viral on social media networks. Many hospitals are charging 10x times higher than the normal amount.
So far, the government has never taken any stern action regarding this. This particular bill has shaken most of them as everyone is worried about the bills more than the COVID itself. This is the situation in most private hospitals.
