How to Delete Telegram Messages from a Specific Date: Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the Telegram App

Launch Telegram on your Android or iOS device and navigate to the chat where you want to delete messages.

2. Access Chat Options

  • Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the chat screen.
  • Select Search to look for messages by date.
3. search by Date

  • In the search bar, tap the calendar icon (available in newer Telegram versions).
  • Select the specific date for which you want to delete messages.
4. Select Messages

  • Telegram will display all messages from that date.
  • Tap and hold on the first message, then select other messages you want to delete.
5. Delete Messages

  • Tap the trash/bin icon at the top of the screen.
  • Choose whether to delete for everyone (if in a group or private chat) or delete only for yourself.
  • Confirm your choice.
6. Optional: Use Telegram Desktop

If you have many messages to delete:

  • Open Telegram on desktop.
  • Use the same date search feature and select multiple messages to delete quickly.
