Apple has yet to enter the foldable phone arena, and with china being the leading market for foldables, the competition is intensifying. The huawei Mate XT Ultimate Edition stands out with its ability to transform from a standard smartphone into a 10-inch tablet through its tri-fold design.
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Edition: Pricing and Design
The huawei Mate XT Ultimate Edition is priced at CNY 19,999 (approximately Rs 2.35 lakh) for the 16GB ram and 256GB storage model, while the top-end 1TB version costs CNY 23,999 (around Rs 2.83 lakh). huawei plans to start selling the device on september 20, following Apple's product launch timeline.
Tri-Fold Mechanism and Specifications
The Mate XT Ultimate Edition features a 7.9-inch foldable display that expands to a 10.2-inch LTPO OLED screen when fully unfolded. The device weighs 298 grams and has a thickness of 12.8mm, making it relatively bulky. It is powered by Huawei’s in-house 5g chipset, equipped with 16GB of ram and up to 1TB of storage.
For photography, the phone boasts a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a variable aperture, along with a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP telephoto periscope lens, also with OIS. The Mate XT Ultimate Edition includes a 5600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
