Know the complete process of porting your number to BSNL.
Follow this process to port the number
1. First of all, get a unique porting code (UPC) to port the mobile number. After this, send an SMS to 1900 number. Like this: 'PORT your 10 digit mobile number'. For example, send PORT 8888888888.
If you are a prepaid mobile user of Jammu kashmir, then instead of sending SMS, call 1900 number. The UPC given to you will work for a full 15 days at all places. But in Jammu kashmir and North east it will work for 30 days.
2. After this, go to BSNL's customer service center (CSC) or any authorized shop and request to port the mobile.
3. After this, fill a customer application form (CAF) and pay the porting fee. However, porting fee is not being charged right now.
4. After this you will be given a new bsnl SIM card. When your porting request is approved, bsnl will inform you when your number will be ported. At that time you will have to set the new number in your phone.
5. If you data-face any problem, you can call the toll-free number 1800-180-1503 or 1503.
