Play Store will no longer have these apps - google Action Notification

Tech giant Google is going to remove low-quality and non-functional apps from the Play Store soon. Google has updated its Spam and Minimum Functionality policy for this, which is going to start this operation from next month.

Google has taken this step to ensure stability, responsiveness and engagement by improving the user experience. Under this policy, the company will ensure that users only get apps on the Play Store that are made with Google's high standards in mind.

Google will begin removing low-quality apps from august 31, 2024. From august 31, minimal functionality or text-only apps, single wallpaper apps, and apps that fail to install or function properly will be removed from the Play Store.

Apps on the Play Store should provide an engaging user experience and should be well-designed and bug-free. At the same time, google may remove apps that are clones of other apps or that don't provide real functionality. Apps designed simply to generate ad revenue are also likely to be on Google's remove list.

This move by google will be a good thing for both users and developers. Experts say it will help improve the quality of apps on the Play Store and make it easier for users to find the apps they want to use. Google's upcoming cleanup activity is expected to affect a significant number of apps and it is said that google may even remove some popular apps with millions of downloads. Earlier in 2023, google blocked nearly 2.8 million apps for violating its policies and endangering user security. In the same year, it also banned around 3,33,000 "bad" google Play accounts due to repeated serious policy violations and concerns about fraud and malware. As of august 31, google will begin removing apps from the Play Store if their apps meet the company's new standards. Developers still have a few weeks to confirm whether it does. However, the company has not yet released the list of apps to be removed or the requirements for the apps.
