It also said that users will have to pay more if they want to get these features along with the ad-free service. Since last January, amazon has introduced ads between images. And now users in the US, UK, Germany, and canada will have to pay an additional $2.99 to watch the images without ads. Now, for an ad-free experience, you can also get access to Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for an extra $2.99. A spokesperson for amazon has confirmed this. "Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos will only be offered to premium paying subscribers. There is no word yet on whether these changes will be implemented in India. Currently, users in india are paying Rs 1,499 to get amazon Prime membership for a year without interruption," it said. Apart from this, there are plans like Rs.299 for one month or Rs.599 for three months.
Dolby Vision and Dolby Ats support is currently available on amazon Prime for users in India. Netflix offers an ad-free subscription plan for $6.99 a month in select countries but only offers video quality up to 1080p. Netflix has not officially announced when it will introduce the ad-supported plan in india, and Netflix is reportedly planning to introduce its low-cost subscription plans to attract more subscribers.
