Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a public sector company, provides meals to passengers on trains operated by indian Railways. The company has now launched a food delivery service for travelers via WhatsApp. Passengers can use their PNR number while ordering and ordering food from the seat of the train. It is reported that irctc and jio Haptik have jointly implemented this. It has been said that passengers can order food on this app, which is said to be 'Zoop', right from the whatsapp chat, and passengers do not need to be re-directed to any other link. And for this, there is no need to install any special app to order food online.
It has been informed that the food will be delivered to the seat of the passenger who orders with the PNR number through this whatsapp chatbot. It is said that there is a facility to track the ordered food in real-time. Apart from that, passengers can also whatsapp chat at +91 7042062070 to order food.
Once the order is confirmed the food will be brought to the seat. As of now, this service has been made operational only at certain railway stations. Vijayawada, Vadodara, Moradabad, Warangal, P.T. Deendayal Upadhyaya, Kanpur, Agra, Tundla Junction, Bal Harsha Junction, and more than 100 A1, A, and B category railway stations have also announced that the service will be available.
