Hereon Safety Rating for
indian cars now..!?
Central Road Transport and Highways
minister Nitin Gadkari yesterday approved a draft bill to introduce a rating system for
indian cars. Soon the bill will be tabled soon. Vehicle safety in
india is currently determined by the automotive companies AIS-145. The system has been in operation since July
2019 and has been implementing features including passenger safety, airbags, speed limit, and alarm.
In this context, as the quality of
car safety ratings is increasing globally, there is a growing demand for a new rating system in India.
Rohit Falluja, president of the Road Transport
education Institute, said the
car rating system was a welcome move for
india and would be an important source for
car buyers in India.
Cars rating system for
india will not only inform consumers about vehicle safety but also make it easier for everyone to know the ratings of
indian cars internationally.
minister Nitin Gadkari has said that if the Bharat NCAP rating system comes into effect,
indian cars will be able to face healthy competition not only from domestic consumers but also from abroad.
It has been said that the Bharat NCAP system in
india will be on par with the
international accident testing rating systems and that cars manufactured in
india can involve themselves in this rating and boldly let
customers know the quality of their cars.
