According to the notification issued by the central government based on an amendment in the 1989 Motor vehicles Act, it is no longer necessary to have a driving license or registration card with you. Now you can store these documents in the mParivahan mobile app and show them to any officer on demand. It is quite acceptable, proven, and convenient for users.


Here's how you can add your driving license in mParivahan:

After the Download process of the mParivahan app from the google Play Store. Follow the below steps:


  • Now sign up using your mobile number.
  • You will get an OTP after signing up,
  • After entering the OTP, you will register yourself.
  • DL (Driving License) / RC (Registration Certificate).
  • Now enter your DL number.
  • To generate the virtual dl, click on "Add to My Dashboard".
  • Now enter your date of birth and your DL will be added to your 'Dashboard'.
You can view your Virtual Driving License at the top of the screen by clicking on the Dashboard button. After clicking on it, you will see the complete details of the DL and QR code. This code is used by the authorities to scan and retrieve all the required information of specified documents.
