rupali Ganguly, who became a household name by playing the lead character in the popular small screen show 'Anupama', is currently at the peak of her career. Even in real life people know him by the name of 'Anupama'. However, even after being successful in her acting career, rupali gets to hear people's taunts regarding her age and body, which she has recently spoken about.

rupali talked about her life after adopting motherhood and told that her weight had increased a lot in those days, for which she was called 'fat'. Not only this, he was also trolled for his age. She also revealed that due to medical complications, she could not feed her son Rudransh, due to which he started eating different things, due to which he had gained a lot of weight.

rupali says, “I started eating different things and my weight went up to 83 kilos. When I used to take my son for walks, people used to say, 'Arre tu to Monisha (Rupali's character's name in 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai') hai na, kitni moti ho gayi." It may be that someone says this to you in a nice way, but it feels bad. That thing then stings. An actress friend of mine came to meet me and said, 'Arre tu to aunty ban gayi'. These things affect you mentally.

Expressing her displeasure on being called Aunty and Moti, rupali said, "People don't have the right to call you 'aunty' or 'moti'. You decide what you want to be called." From Namita Thapar to rupali Ganguly and Shraddha Arya, these celebs data-faced fat shaming

The serial 'Anupama' proved to be a tremendous comeback for Rupali, but still age shaming and body shaming did not leave her. Regarding this, she said, "I have gone through body shaming, age shaming even after 'Anupama'. people say 'your wrinkles are showing', 'hey that fat lady', yes I have wrinkles and I am proud of them. I am proud of whatever I am today.

She further added, “After three years of Anupama, I can say that I accept myself the way I am. To any woman who is going through this, I would say reply back to the haters. Don't let anyone influence you, because you are your own best judge.

rupali Ganguly also revealed that she is bullied a lot even though she looks older than Gaurav Khanna who plays her husband 'Anuj Kapadia' in the serial 'Anupama'. The actress said, "It is written about me on social media, 'Oh, she is fat, she is looking bigger than Anuj (Gaurav Khanna)'." Yes, I am older than her in real life. I think he will be 41 and I am 45. I am proud of it. We play the characters of 'Anuj' and 'Anupama' in the show and they are shown at the same age.

At the same time, while replying to the haters, rupali said, "If you feel that I am not able to do justice to my character and am not giving my 100 per cent to it, then you tell her, I will work on it." Criticism, encouragement is welcome, but if you embarrass me, it will not be accepted.
