May Calamawy, who starred in
moon Knight, remembers her time on set with the late Gaspard Ulliel fondly. The Marvel series, which will premiere on Disney+ on
march 30, 2022, will introduce a whole new
hero to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
oscar Isaac plays Steven Grant, a meek
british museum
gift shop employee who discovers he has numerous identities, one of which is American mercenary Marc Spector, a hardened assassin who uses the Egyptian
moon god Khonshu's powers to become the titular caped crusader.
He must go up against Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke), a ruthless cult
leader who worships the goddess Ammit. May Calamawy co-stars with Isaac as Spector's
wife Layla, while Gaspard Ulliel debuted as Anton Mogart, also known as Midnight Man, in
episode 3. Ulliel is a French actor who is most known for playing a juvenile Hannibal Lecter in the Silence of the Lambs prequel Hannibal Rising, and for acting opposite Audrey Tatou in the 2004 film A Very Long Engagement.
Ulliel hasn't made a splash in the
united states since the mid-2010s, and
moon Knight was supposed to be his big comeback. Unfortunately, the actor unfortunately died in a skiing
accident in
january 2022 at the age of 37 while on set for the miniseries Tikkoun.
moon Knight
episode 3 is devoted to Ulliel because it is the first
episode in which he appears.
