Moon Knight Early Reviews Praise Oscar Isaac In Flawed MCU Show

Early reviews for moon Knight have surdata-faced ahead of its Disney+ release. Marvel Studios' streaming efforts have so far centred on digging further into characters that fans are already familiar with from the big screen, such as Waanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Loki (Tom Hiddlestton), and Hawkeye (Tom Hiddlestton) (Jeremy Renner). The MCU's small-screen effort, moon Knight, will present a brand-new superhero for the first time in 2022, with oscar Isaac as the eponymous figure.

The new Disney+ show will be the actor's return to the Marvel universe after playing as the main villain in the critically panned X-Men: Apocalypse. Isaac, on the other hand, joins the main MCU this time, playing Marc Spector on moon Knight. Specific storyline elements about the show are still being kept under wraps, but when it comes to origin stories, Marvel Studios likes to stick faithful to the comics. As in print, the character suffers from dissociative identity disorder, with one of his alters being Steven Grant, a London-based gift shop employee. Spector is transformed into moon Knight after becoming a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, who bestows exceptional talents on him. Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy play Arthur Harrow and Layla, respectively, in the show.

The official moon Knight initial reviews have been posted, a day before it premieres on Disney+, giving fans a sense of what to anticipate from the MCU's latest miniseries. According to the consensus, numerous reviews praised the film's original premise and outstanding performances by both Isaac and Hawke. Others, on the other hand, aren't happy that the first four of the six episodes don't devote enough time to the eponymous figure to pique viewers' interest in this new MCU character.
