The Batman Director Indicates Gotham PD & Arkham Asylum Are the Same Show?

G GOWTHAM
According to the filmmaker of The Batman, the originally scheduled Gotham PD and rumoured Arkham Asylum series could be the same thing. The Batman has finally arrived in theatres, and it appears to have successfully launched a new Batman franchise by grossing $125 million in its first weekend, second only to Spider-Man: No Way home since theatres closed in march 2020. Warner Bros. and HBO Max already had planned spin-off programmes for The Penguin and other characters before the movie entered theatres.

The Gotham PD was in production at HBO Max when it was first revealed in July 2020. The series would actually occur in "Year One" of Robert Pattinnson's Batman tale, making it a precursor to the picture and possibly outlining how Gorddan and Batman developed their cooperation. Reeves recently let out that they were working on something connected to Arkham Asylum, leading many to believe it would be a new spin-off series to continue the Batman show's planned growth. While the Penguin series appears to be gaining traction, not much has been said about Gotham PD, but it seems the show has progressed beyond its original purpose and content.
