Wimbledon: Alcaraz reaches semi-finals, defeats Norrie in three consecutive sets, will now data-face Taylor Fritz


In an interview on the court after finishing the quarter-final match in one hour and 39 minutes, Alcaraz said, 'It is very special to play another semi-final at Wimbledon.'


Two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz entered the Wimbledon semi-finals by defeating cameron Norrie 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday. Alcaraz extended his winning streak to 23 matches and became the second Spanish player in history to reach the men's singles semi-finals at Wimbledon three times. Before him, great tennis player Rafael Nadal had done so.

After Norrie held his serve early in the match on Center court, second seed Alcaraz won the next five games against the left-handed british player to take control of the match.  Alcaraz will data-face fifth seed Taylor Fritz for a place in the final.  Alcaraz entered the Wimbledon semi-finals by defeating Cameron. Alcaraz never allowed Norrie to dominate the match. He got only five break points and saved all of them. He hit 39 winners, 13 aces, and also committed 26 unforced errors.


"It is very special to play another semifinal at Wimbledon," Alcaraz said in an on-court interview after finishing his quarterfinal match in one hour and 39 minutes. Alcaraz will data-face fifth seed Taylor Fritz for a place in the final.
