The first Test between zimbabwe and afghanistan is being played in Bulawayo. In this Test, zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine won the toss and decided to bat. Batting first, zimbabwe scored a huge score of 586 runs. This is Zimbabwe's highest score in the Test format. 3 batsmen crossed the century mark for Zimbabwe. Sean Williams scored the highest 154 runs. While Brian Bennett played an unbeaten innings of 100 runs. Apart from this, zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine scored 104 runs.

Whereas in 1995, against Pakistan, a score of 544 runs was made for 4 wickets. However, now zimbabwe has made the highest score in its Test history. Talking about Zimbabwe's batsmen, Craig Ervine, Brian Bennett and Sean Williams scored centuries. Apart from this, Ben Curran contributed 68 runs. While T. Kaitano played an innings of 46 runs.

On the other hand, Allah Ghazanfar was the most successful bowler for Afghanistan. Allah Ghazanfar dismissed 3 Zimbabwean batsmen. Apart from this, naveed Zadran, Zahir Khan and Zia ur Rehman got 2-2 successes. Azmatullah Omarzai took 1 wicket.
