India's 68-member contingent won eight gold, 18 silver, and 29 bronze medals to finish fifth among 21 countries.
Prime minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated the indian contingent for its historic performance at the 10th Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Kuala Lumpur and said the talented players have brought great pride to the country. The indian contingent won 55 medals at the 10th Asia Pacific Deaf Games. This is 11 times more than its previous participation in 2015 (five medals).
He said, 'This remarkable achievement has inspired the whole nation, especially those who are passionate about sports.' India's 68-member team won eight gold, 18 silver, and 29 bronze medals to rank fifth among 21 countries. This is the country's best-ever performance in these games since they began in 1984. The Asia Pacific Deaf Games are held every four years.
