RCB Played With Fans' Emotions in IPL 2025 Auction..!?
The IPL 2025 auction for the 18th season of the IPL 2025 series was held in Jeddah, saudi arabia on the 24th and 25th. Out of more than 1000 players who registered for this auction, only 577 players were selected. Out of these, 367 were indian players and 210 were foreign players. However, a total of only 204 players were to be auctioned for the IPL 2025 series. This included 70 foreign players. However, in the 2-day auction, a total of 182 players, including 62 foreign players, were selected.
In this, royal challengers Bangalore has paid a lot of money for players that other teams did not want. What is surprising is that they have also auctioned uncapped players for several crores. royal challengers Bangalore is one of the popular teams in the IPL cricket festival. Despite playing in the last 17 IPL seasons, they have not won the trophy even once. Preparing for the 18th IPL, RCB retained only Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and yash Dayal before the auction. They were surprised by releasing players like Will Jacques, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj. Fans thought that at least two of them could be retained through RTM.
However, looking at the way the players were bought in the auction, it seems that RCB does not want the trophy, but the fans' money. Kannadas will support RCB win or lose. Why is RCB taking so many auctions? Whenever RCB bids, fans chant RCB RCB. In such a situation, RCB has taken advantage of the fans' enthusiasm. It seems that their aim now is to make money by selling expensive tickets for matches. Although the tickets for chennai and mumbai matches are 30-40 thousand, the fans are buying them.
RCB has been ignoring kannada players for the last few years. KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Abhinav Manohar, manish pandey, Vaishak Vijaykumar, Devdutt Padikkal, mayank Anurag Agarwal, Vidwat Kaveerappa were registered in the auction. But RCB did not buy him. Even though Manoj Bandage was bought for the base price of Rs. 30 lakhs, he is more likely to sit on the bench. Fans have been supporting the team for many years, saying, "Ee Sala Cup Namde." But it's not just the trophy. It's a joke in the fan community that RCB's craze will decrease if they win the trophy. But the recent developments seem to be true.
It remains to be seen whether RCB, which has been taking advantage of the fans' trust, will win the trophy and save their trust or play with the feelings of the fans. RCB auctioned 19 players, including 8 foreign players, in the IPL 2025 auction. After the auction, RCB has 22 players with the retained players.
