Virat Kohli’s Awkward Encounter with Hotel Staff Before Second Test vs. Bangladesh
Indian cricket star virat kohli had a slightly awkward moment upon arriving at his hotel in kanpur ahead of the second Test against Bangladesh. Known for his warm interactions with fans, kohli encountered a hotel staff member who welcomed him enthusiastically.
As he arrived, kohli was greeted by hotel staff and fans eager to see the celebrated player. He received gifts, flowers, and a traditional tilak on his forehead, engaging graciously with everyone present.
However, the situation turned a bit clumsy when a staff member offered kohli a bouquet and extended his hand for a handshake. Balancing the flowers in one hand and his belongings in the other, a flustered kohli humorously declined the handshake, saying, “Sir, 2 hi haath hain (Sir, I’ve got only two hands),” while expressing gratitude for the staff member's warm gesture.
After an eight-month hiatus from Test cricket, kohli returned to the format in the first Test against Bangladesh, but his performance was disappointing, as he struggled with his batting technique and failed to score in both innings.
Looking ahead to the kanpur match, kohli is hopeful that the conditions, particularly a black soil pitch expected to offer less bounce than in Chennai, will favor his batting and help him achieve a significant score.
