They said it may take up to 2 weeks. Therefore, october 15 is the last day for the team management to give the final match of the retained players. Currently, the IPL retention rules are not released yet. It is said that this will give the team management more time to announce the list of retained players. As far as IPL retention is concerned there are 4 players to be retained and 2 RTM opportunities to be given. Also, 3 retention and 3 RTM opportunities and 5 retention and 2 RTM opportunities are also available. Apart from that, there is a possibility that the old rule requested by the CSK team will be reinstated. Players who have retired from international cricket for 5 years can be considered uncapped players. This will enable CSK to retain dhoni for a lower fee. It is said that not only the bcci but also the broadcasters are likely to be behind this decision. Also, it has been reported that the purse value will be given an additional Rs.10 crore this year.
