Oval Invincibles women beat Birmingham Phoenix women by 45 runs in the opening match of The Hundred Women's 2024, as the unique league is back again with exciting action. "I am buzzing today with my performance. I usually come in at the end but I enjoyed opening the batting tonight. Yeah, I feel like the wicket played well as it had some tennis ball bounce and I backed myself. We batted till 11 and I trusted myself because I knew I had them in my back. She (Chamari Athapaththu) can bat in my place and I would be happy to bat down the order. We are one of the best fielding sides and we are proud of ourselves tonight," said Paige Scholfield, who was awarded the Man of the Match.
