Jay Shah interferes in Team selection..!?

T20 world cup 2024 will be held on june 1st in West india and America. There is an expectation among the fans that the indian team will win the champion title in this series where 20 teams will participate. In this situation, the indian team used a lot of young players to win the t20 world cup in 2007. Similarly, Ajit Agarkar, the chairman of the selection committee, had decided to take up a project. Accordingly, he decided not to have players like virat kohli, Jadeja, and Rohit Sharma. But the bcci had already announced that rohit sharma should be the captain of the t20 World Cup. As a result, Akarkar said OK and decided not to select virat kohli and Jadeja in the team. He took this decision because the strike rate was not good enough. And the ball doesn't hit the bat on the west indies pitch. There were reports that he said that virat kohli will stumble to rank.

This was opposed by various parties. In this situation, Jay Shah suddenly attended the selection committee meeting held in ahmedabad today and discussed with Akarkar for about 2 hours. Jay Shah left after this meeting. The indian team was announced only after that. What happened? In this meeting he decided to drop virat kohli, Jadeja and KL rahul from the team citing things like strike rate. But there are reports that Jayshah used his veto power and said that virat kohli and Jadeja must be included in the team and KL rahul should be removed from the team.

According to bcci sources, Jayshah, pointing out that the t20 world cup will be held in the USA, will be successful only if there are star players like virat kohli and Jadeja are playing well in the current IPL series and asked him to be included in the team. It is also said that this is the reason for the delay in selecting the indian team.
