Harshit Rana fined 60 percent of Match fee for angry send-off

Harshit Rana, the last over hero for the kolkata Knight Riders in the thrilling victory against Sunrisers hyderabad, has been fined 60% of his match money for giving Heinrich Klaasen and mayank agarwal an angry send-off during the match on march 23 in Kolkata. The young indian bowler stole the show for the franchise headquartered in kolkata, as he produced a brilliant last over that secured his team's victory and put the SRH side at bay.
 

Harshit did have a few run-ins with SRH hitters during the game, but he also made sure KKR crossed the finish line with a brilliant 20th over. Interestingly, he ejected mayank agarwal with anger early in the second innings, and Heinrich Klaasen was the victim of the same in the last over. Commenting on the celebration and his firing of mayank, sunil gavaskar criticized him.
 
According to a statement issued by the IPL, Harshit had violated Article 2.5 of the league's code of conduct twice, for which he was fined 10% and 50% of his match earnings, respectively. The pacer acknowledged accepting the match referee's punishment, according to the statement.
 

"Kolkata Knight Riders bowler Harshit Rana has been fined a total of 60 percent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team's Tata indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Sunrisers hyderabad at Eden Gardens, kolkata on march 23."
 
"According to Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct, Rana committed two Level 1 offenses. For each of the two offenses, he was fined 10% and 50% of his match costs. Rana acknowledged the two transgressions and agreed to the Match Referee's punishment. The judgment made by the Match Referee is final and enforceable for Level 1 violations of the Code of Conduct, according to an IPL statement.
