Our ms dhoni is the only cricketer who has been playing since the inaugural edition of the indian Premier League in 2008. He has been playing every season till now as a captain and as a player. He has been playing for almost 15 years. Although he announced his retirement on behalf of Team India, he is continuing as the captain of chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

The time for mahendra singh Dhoni's retirement is approaching. His body is not cooperating with the game. Not playing like before. Not even in form. The 41-year-old dhoni is once again captaining the chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2023 edition. Last year, ms dhoni stepped down and handed over the reins to Jadeja. In that season, Jadeji dropped out as chennai lost consecutively. dhoni had to take the captaincy again.

In a recent event, dhoni was asked about his retirement from the indian Premier League and gave an interesting answer. ms dhoni replied, "If I make any statement now, the pressure will increase on the coach's team."  Dhoni has maintained himself well at the age of 41. Former Australian cricketer shane watson believes that dhoni can stay fit to play cricket for the next 3 or 4 years if chennai Super Kings want him.

CSK under Dhoni's captaincy started the IPL 2023 season with a defeat in the first match against gujarat Titans in the first game. However, they bounced back with three straight wins against lucknow Supergiants, mumbai Indians,  and rajasthan Royals. chennai Super Kings returned to form with a win against royal challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday.
