Fans are excited by Jio's move to make watching IPL 2023 as simple and as free as possible. A total of Rs. 20, 500 crores and acquired the rights from Hotstar.
For the past few years, fans who could not watch the IPL series on television could only watch it on the Hotstar app. That too can be seen only if a certain payment is made. Due to this, many fans are unable to watch the match live and are left to watch the highlights the next day.Fans may be asking why they should collect more crores than a hot star and give away the rights for free.
But the jio company has kept the plan there. That means jio is currently working on popularizing the app. So first it plans to attract customers across the country. Accordingly, they have targeted to bring 50 crore customers to the jio tv app through the IPL series this year.
This is why IPL is free. Similarly, the amounts for investors have also been reduced. If you attract customers by making a small profit at first, then you can make a profit for the monopoly. It is to be noted that the same scheme was also available in the jio SIM card.
